UPS will deliver your package for free up to three attempts before sending it back to the sender as undeliverable. You can request that the driver leave your package on the next delivery attempt as long as it doesn’t require a signature from an adult. Sign the delivery notice in the space provided on the UPS missed delivery notice. Then place the UPS delivery notice back where the driver originally left the notice.
UPS Delivery Attempt Information
UPS delivery days include Monday through Friday and Saturday/Sunday (in select areas), excluding UPS holidays. The driver will make up to three delivery attempts at your address. After the final missed delivery attempt, undeliverable packages will be returned to the original sender. However, if you want to pick up the package at a UPS Customer Center, make a request by 7 p.m.

UPS My Choice is a free service that gives customers more control over deliveries. Once you set up an account on UPS.com, members receive an email or text message the day before a shipment arrives and a delivery notification. Additional options include:
- The ability to re-route most packages to a workplace.
- The neighbor’s house.
- A nearby UPS Access Point or UPS customer care center
